I added some greens I found at Hobby Lobby and love the look for everyday! They’re fresh, but not too Spring just yet. It is a large vase and looks so much more substantial than the other things I normally put up there! I loved it so much, I bought another vase to put on the other side, because I’m addicted to symmetry, that’s why. So thoughtful! As soon as I put it on the fireplace, I knew it was the thing I never knew I needed up on the mantel. ![]() I was super impressed that Jeremy helped Little Man pick out a white vase so that I could put it anywhere and use it any season. I saved the tulips for my spring decor and tried the vase out in multiple spots around the house. Aren’t those the sweetest gifts?! Decorations and candy, my kids know me so well! □ Little Man asked to get me a vase and flowers to decorate with “because Mommy loves to decorate and tulips are her favorite.” He remembered that he and Jeremy always plant tulips for me in the fall because I love them. He then asked each kid what they wanted to get me and they both immediately came up with the best gifts on their own! Little Girlie said, “Candyyyyyyy!!!!”, so they picked out an epic assortment of my favorites. ![]() Jeremy said that as soon as they got in the car to go shopping, he chatted with them about how to select a thoughtful gift for someone, thinking of what that person enjoys, etc. This year, they both hit it out of the park! It’s their own little tradition and it’s the sweetest thing ever! As the kids have gotten older, they’ve participated more and more in the gift selections. ![]() Every year, Jeremy takes the day before Thanksgiving off and takes the kids shopping for my Christmas gifts. Fixing it is on my restricted list after surgery, so I need to recruit Jeremy to help me with that.Īnyway, back to the Christmas gift. Moving on to paragraphs that don’t contain the word “vomit”… I wanted to show you all the new fireplace arrangement I came up with! Did I just hear you groan? I know, I know, I redecorate the fireplace all the time! I just can’t seem to help myself and love coming up with fresh and new arrangements for each season! This time, I was inspired by one of the sweetest Christmas gifts ever! Don’t mind the rug that is waaaay slid over and on the fireplace. My brain is going a thousand miles an hour, but my body is still screaming, “Did you forget about the incisions?! Sit down, Woman!” Ha! We are doing so much better! Jeremy is over the virus and I am seeing daily improvement! I am starting to see the benefits of the surgery and for the first time since getting pregnant with Little Girlie four years ago, I am not dealing with chronic nausea! It’s amazing how good and energetic you feel when you don’t feel like vomiting all day! Yay! Now, the hard part is continuing to rest and pace myself.
